Halina Nashan, born in Ostroleka, Poland, immigrated to Chicago in 1934 and was president of Halina’s Doll Fashions. She died in 1999 age 79. Her company created fashion doll clothing for
high-end department stores such as Marshall Fields in Chicago in the sixties. Since these outfits weren’t mass produced, they are extremely hard to find today. The fashions are mostly
undocumented.
